A few more dry socket questions

So as you know so I developed a dry socket on day 4 after extraction (I went running that day and the OS thinks the increase in blood pressure and heart rate may have dislodged the clot. ). On day 5 (Monday) he packed the wound (felt so much better)I go back wed (day 7)

1) does it hurt to get the packing out?
2) will he re pack it? How will he know it doesn't need re packed?
3) how long does it take for dry sockets to typically start to feel better ( I'm afraid the pain will come back)

I am supposted to go away this weekend which would be day 10 after extraction, day 6 after dry socket pain started. I'm wondering if I should cancel

1) No, it really shouldn't
2) It depends how it's healing up, most probably not
3) 48 hrs typically. Go ahead and enjoy your trip.

Gordon, you were totally right! Packing out with no pain, he said its healing well. Packing has been out 5 hours and no pain!
