Bottom partials cause blisters and is digging into my gums, top partials same thing

I`ve only have had my partials 5days, but I can`t stand them cause they are killing my gums leaving blisters and stabbing into my gums. What should I do?? Can I fix myself or do I need to let the dentist do it?? I know what the problem is,They are to long, pointy (bottom only)and rough on edges(top only). Please help!!

Call your dentist and let him/her make all the adjustments. I think you'll be amazed (as I was) at how easy and fast it is for them to fix what we think is a huge problem.

WELCOME to the forum both of you

You need to go back, your dentist will be able to sort this out easily for you. You may find you have to go back a few times but don't leave it and suffer when you don't need to. As your gums change you will need the dentures altering, this is quite normal and the dentist is used to doing this.

Hello both, and wise words. Don't try and adjust them yourself, your dentist will need to do a bit of 'mouth manouvering' when making the adjustments. I didn't quite get it at first why, but now I do. I went back on more than one occasion, and as always, Lincoln worked his magic, and got them feeling as comfy as the comfiest of shoes.
