Im having my lowe left wisdom tooth removed under IV sedation in two days and have developed a sore throat today. Just wondering if I can still have it done with a sore throat?:(

Do you have a fever? If it's strep throat probably not, unless you get on antibiotics now. It takes 24 hours not to be contagious. Signs are fever, sore throat, headache, white spots on the throat, swollen glands.

If it's run of the mill viral probably OK - My dentist worked on me with pahryngitis/laryngitis, I could barely talk- he had a milder version too - was kinda funny...I was on antibiotics for 24 hours.

If you feel ill- I would call tomorrow and ask the OS.
