Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12%

I was given this prescription after my extraction and says to use 1 day after. I am a little nervous to use a wash after extraction so soon . Anyone ever prescribed this? Should I wait an extra day?

I'd give it at least the extra day. CHx going into wide open sockets can spark off pretty bad allergic reactions if you're sensitive to it. Just use salt water instead if you really must rinse with something.

I worked up the courage to try it on two days after and it didn’t hurt.
