Hi all, I just joined the forum as I need some help, I'm 18 and have issues with my teeth.
my story is, I very rarley brush "I know that's extremely bad" and haven't seen a dentist in years, "also very bad" but just lately I've noticed my mouth is uncomfortable, some of my teeth seem slightly wobbly! and I feel I have a chipped wisdom tooth! not sure if it cam me through like it or not.
i have a appointment to start with a new dentist, but that's not till next month.
ive started trying to brush regularly! I'm worried there's no hope and I can't save my teeth.and I really don't want that.
any advice is welcomed.

Hi Neb1006 and welcome,

Firstly you are in the right place! Sounds to me like you have made a great start by making an appointment, that is a huge step so well done! I'm not a dentist so I can't advise about what may be causing your problems but try not to worry too much as its rarely as bad as we imagine. Hopefully one of the dentists will read this and maybe offer their view.

Its great that you are addressing this while you are still so young, a lot of peoples only regret with facing dental fears and getting their teeth sorted is that they didnt do it earlier, its certainly mine!

As for brushing your teeth, try to brush twice a day (morning and night) gently to begin with using a soft toothbrush as your gums may not be used to being brushed and will probably bleed to begin with. This should stop after a few days though.

Dont worry, there is hope! The only time there is no hope is when you give up on going to the dentist and trying to fix your teeth.

Good luck to you!! :clover::clover::clover:

Thank you very much for your kind reply, it makes me feel better to know there is still hope for my teeth. It would be nice to have a professional opinion, but yours has made me feel a lot better already, thank you very much.
