I finally got brave enough to start my denture journey!! Yesterday was E day and went fairly smoothly. Still pretty swollen and gums are still very tender but I'm not doing too bad. I did not go the immediate dentures route so the next few months are going to be a test on my mental health as far as dirty looks and unneeded comments and opinions. I'm doing this for me, it's my journey to a happy healthy smile again

Congratulations @carrieann44 for plucking up the courage to get it done. I sincerely hope you haven't been getting any dirty looks or unneeded comments for looking after your health!! Wishing you speedy healing and I hope the next months go quickly for you! When are you expecting to get your permanent dentures?

Estimated 2-3 months. They're being digitally printed?

Sounds interesting! I hope the time between now and then will pass quickly. Let us know how you get on!

Carrieann44. Congratulations on your courage and stepping into the denture journey , it is a huge step that shows Alot of strength on your part. Glad E day went well! It is a day by day journey.. we are here for you and you are never alone! I hope you did or will do something special for yourself as a reward. Be it big or little. When I would get major dental.. or any dental procedure I'd stop and get a chocolate mousse pastry, that was my reward :) easy to eat and to me tasted amazing :)
