My teeth are in a bad state but this evening I noticed a bump above a back tooth when I looked it was white. I used salt water rinse and it drained. Still a slight bump but more feels like an ulcer now.
I am in no pain and no swelling apart from the bump.
I am nit registered with a dentist and waiting lists in my area are 2 years. I am going to look a little further a field but am I okay to leave this for now until I can see a dentist. My anxiety is currently through the roof because of this so any help is very much appreciated

It's OK to leave for a while. Preferably less than 2 years though. There should be an emergency clinic in your area though, try ringing 111 and see if they offer you something.

@Gordon I have but fully booked I also have a severe fear of the dentist so I am really struggling at the moment. It’s seems to have gone today the gum just feels a little strange where it was as if there is cut there. Is this normal? Thank you

@Kay021 hello are you going okay? How is the mound against your gum going? Is it still puffy or swollen? I’m going through something similar & anxious as hell.

The abscess will have burst out through the gum. Perfectly normal.

They book out the appointments every day on 111, keep trying.

@Tiger5 hi I am okay thank you! How are you?
It seems to have completely disappeared, the gum feels completely normal now so I am not sure what it was.
How is yours going?

@Kay021 same here, very weird. Mine was never red stretched painful or had a pimple like spot for drainage it was just a mound like same as my gum .. spoke to dentist they highly suspect it’s the way the bone & gum has grown around the old tooth that fell out.. I’m booked for Saturday for them to look at it. But all is well & normal at this stage , it’s only visual when I pry my mouth open & look at the gum .. glad you’re okay. Have you got to the dentist yet ?? I am highly freaked out by dentist, well anything health related actually lol

@Tiger5 that’s good to hear!
No I haven’t managed to get a dentist just yet! I am looking at private (currently saving) as I find nhs dentist so judgemental and all my top teeth need removing so I would like implants.
Same anything health related I have severe anxiety it’s a horrible feeling! Xx
