Hey guys.

For 2 weeks now i have been feeling minor dull aches on the left side of jaw and cheek. It radiates from the tooth to tooth to my wisdom teeth for a quick min. The aches come and go. But it doesnt really disappear. I am able to eat and swallow. No swelling. Minor headaches that come and go. I have allergies and sinus problems but ive always had them and nvr went through something like this. My wisdom teeth are all out of the gums and dont give me any problems.

Went to the dentist and she checked my teeth and couldnt find anything wrong. Said its not my wisdom teeth. I brush my teeth regularly with strong mouthwash that stings and burns my tongue and cheeks leaving them sore sometimes. I also have tmj.

All i really need to know is what can this be? Dentist said the there was nothing that can be effecting it. I take ibprofen everyday and the aches do disappear but it comes back. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!!

Not a dentist...but I have had similar issues...and has always been put down to muscular tension and the fact that i grind and clench my teeth in my sleep when stressed.
You said you have TMJ...i think i read it can cause similar things as well.
You may ask if they can tell if you grind your teeth...I mentioned that I must clench my teeth a lot because i was waking up with them clenched and she was like "and you grind too I can tell by the wear on your teeth. "
If is something like that you could try a night guard. You can get over the counter ones to try or have the dentist make a fitted one.
I personally have a difficult time falling asleep with mine in but even wearing it part of the night when things start to ache helps a lot until I de-stress and stop grinding so badly.

I ended up having my xrays done a month before my cleaning because of similar radiating aches or weirdness (I alway go check if it lasts longer than I expect just in case)

My teeth/gums/jaw aches everyday. Not all day but comes & goes. Ill get a dull ache and it lasts a while then goes away? I just had a 3D scan of my teeth/sinuses/jaw and no problems were found? I have one tooth that I need to see a specialist for but it generally doesn't bother me too much. I take ibuprofen once a day and get relief. I try not to take it everyday because its hard on your stomach.

Are you more stressed out right now? Do you clench/grind your teeth? Id get fitted for a night guard if your dentist cannot isolate the source of your pain? Or ask your dentist if you can buy an over the counter one. They arent as good as the professional ones but it might help give your jaw a rest?

Same symptoms but right side. I think mine is from clenching because my dentist can’t find anything wrong? I’ve always clenched but it’s gotten worse lately due to stress I’ve had several sets of X-rays including a 3D scan...

I go to an office with 3 dentists. One dentist is convinced that one of my premolars needs a root canal but another dentist says I don’t? I’ve had everything fixed last week that she thought might be causing me pain. (crown on molar due to crack in filling and a new filling on another tooth) I’m left with a dull ache in upper gums and a referral to endodontist? Hope we get to the bottom of it?
