Last Friday I had a molar extracted (the one before the last of you know what I mean ?), I was very straight forward and it took the dentist less then a minute and it came out whole. The blood clot formed perfectly fine and on Monday the top of the blood clot slowly started coming away but by bit. This morning I woke up with quite a ‘dent’. It’s not insanely deep, if I put my tongue on it I can just about feel the bottom. I’m really paranoid about a dry socket. The actual extraction site doesn’t hurt and I haven’t even had to take any pain killers since the tooth came out. I only get the occasional stabbing type of pain in my ear which I assume is normal. It’s not bad enough to make me jump off the sofa but it’s just plain annoying ? is it normal to be left with a bit of a ‘hole’? I’ve been googling like crazy and I see loads about a dry socket but all those people were in a fair bit of pain and other than some mildly irritated gum I don’t have any.

Thanks in advance!

The dent is normal. You are going to be fine! Sorry, you have missed out on the experience.... maybe next time ;)

Thank you! It’s looking much better now, the site looked like a train wreck a few days ago but the dent seems to be ‘shrinking’ and white stuff is growing into it which I know is all good. I suffer from anxiety so just wanted to make sure all is good!

Happy Easter all!
