After waiting almost 2 years on the NHS waiting list i have been booked in on Wednesday to have 4 teeth taken out in hospital and need some advice on it if possible.
the reason why i am having them out in hospital is because i have epilepsy and when the normal dentist tried to take them out i ended up having a fit in the dentist chair so he said it would be better for me to have them out in hospital as i have had some taken out that way before under GA.
so i went to see the dentist at the dental hospital who agreed to take them out and i though i was going to have them out under GA again which is what i would like and when i kept calling the MRI hospital in Manchester to find out where i was on waiting list they even said i was having them out under a GA.
but when i went for my pre-op on Christmas eve i did asked the lady who did the pre-op if it was down as a GA and she said no is was going to be a LA sedation which is not what i want at all.
last week i got a call from the Oral surgery booking office i did ask the person who called me and she said it was booked in on a theatre list for GA.
so i am confused and do not understand that 2 people from the same hospital can say to me different things as 1 says its under GA and the other one its under LA.
so i am in panic mode now as worry i will get to the hospital on Wednesday morning(i am on afternoon theatre list) and that they will do it under LA sedation when i have asked for it to be done under GA.
Also i am having it done on Ward 55 at Manchester royal infirmary so has anyone been there to have teeth out?
