still awaiting my apt on sat.. and feeling very low.. anxiety, panic.. feel sick and scared.. seeing dr this morning for some sedatives..and got upset just making the apt cos it was related... my glands are up on my right side.. and the antibiotics are just managing to keep it at bay.. but feel generally yuk and terrified... crying at everything.. feel very silly..

I know exactly how you feel. My appointment is still 2 weeks away but, I too am tearful and very low. I just don't feel well and have no energy as I'm so nervous & tearful. I had to come home from shopping early today as I burst into tears in the shop!! So if anyone can give either the previous poster or myself support it would be appreciated. [smiley=hiding.gif]

I saw the dr this morning.. she had a student with her.. I burst into tears..but both were lovely and made me laugh and their humour did help... been prescribed some lorazepam for my apt.. she said she has another patient who has needle phobia and it cures her when she takees it.. so told me to have a trial run tonight.. so looking forward to hopefully feeling relaxed and sleepy tonight.. and if not she said to ring her tomorrow and she would sort another option o ut.

Is all horrbile when you are this frightened..just makes your life miserable and consumes you.. I am feeling a little better than I was this morning tho'..just having the sedatives x

I've got some valium to take if I need them (my doctor is also lovely) but as its still 2 weeks before my appointment I'm trying not to take them yet. I'm also having tamazapam (stronger than valium) an hour before my appointment (if I get that far without cancelling!)
Really pleased you are feeling better. Will keep looking at this site for your progress, I'm thinking about you. x*:'(

thankyou so much.. its appreciated.. and hopefully I'll beable to bounce back and tell you its a piece of cake... having my trial run tonight with the tablets..so hoping it will calm me relax me and help me sleep.. the plus side being that the husband is looking after the baby tonight!!

will keep you informed of my progress...

Hi Catherine,

I know this wont make you feel any better cos it hasnt me all week when people have been trying to convince me. I had a wisdom tooth and a back molar removed today with local. I have been a nervous wreck all week and absulutely dreading it. Kept myself busy until the appointment and I have to say, I did not feel a thing, I didnt even know he had removed the teeth!! I spent more time waiting for the injection to take then I did having the teeth removed which was probably about a minute. I just closed my eyes and concerntrated on my breathing.

It will soon all be over.

Good luck for tomorrow

thanks michelle.. its a big help to hear that... I'm gearing myself up for sat and feeling a bit better.. practicing with the sedatives tonight..so if nothing else should get a better nights sleep... will keep you posted... but was nice of you to let me know how you got on...and hear something positive...
thanks so much...

Hi Catherine

So pleased to hear the tablets are helping. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow & waiting to hear how you got on. In the meantime let the tablets "take over" and get as much rest as you can.
Take care.

many thanks.. this really does all hellp.. spoke to my dental nurse this morning.. have moved the spt to 1.45.and that she needs to take another xray to double check its ok to come out...so bit dissapointed cos I will be in bits tomorrow morning and just want to get it over with.. just hoping and praying its all quick.. I want a positive outcome I can shout about and also use to help others in same position... x

Hi Catherine,

Im from London too!!! small world!

Glad the tablets are doing their thing, im sure you will sail thru it and after, you will feel on top of the world for getting thru it. Just have lots to spoil yourself with when u get home and chill for the whole day.

I'm feeling pleased as I am in no pain whatsoever since I had my removed yesterday, didnt have to take pain killers even. Worse part is the salt water...yuk!

Good luck, u will be fine and let us all know how it went.

Hi Catherine

Good luck for today, thinking of you. I'm sure it on't be as bad as you're expecting. Just remember this time tomorrow it will be over.
Let me know how it goes as I've still got 10days of nerves to go!!
Take care
Love Patsy xx:-*

thanks so much... on my own this morning with my little boy whos nearly 2.. time is going slow.. just want to take my 'happy pills' and get it over with.. the fear .. and all the what ifs.. are started to consume me..feeling a bit teary...

thanks again for your words of encouragement..

catherine x

Just think how GREAT you will feel afterwards. [smiley=jumping.gif]

Keep focused on your little boy, at that age he will keep you occupied! I had twin boys (they're 23 now & at Uni) so I know they are a handful but, lovely!
Its a difficult day but at least it will soon be over. Take your "happy pills" and concentrate on your little boy.
Thinking of you
Love Patsy x:)

was teary this monring.. then took my happy pills which just calmed me down.. on arrival at the surgery they tried to jolly me along and get me smiling which worked a bit... she reassed the xray and said.. it really shouldnt be a propb to get out.. so.. started numbing me.. I was so proud of myself as I'm not good with needles so asked for more just to be sure... she began applying pressure.... then I asked just for a little more injection... the tooth tooth about 20secs to come out all in one piece.. no stitches..or cuts..I felt so euphoric afterwards..

If I'd known it would be that easy would of done it ages ago.. and stopped myself slipping into a livign hell for the last few wks.

thankyou for all you kind words.. my dentist wants me to bk to go for another deep clean to sort my gums out in jan.. but after today... this really doesnt worry me xxx

WOW, thats fantastic, well done :D

It really isnt that bad is it, why do we get into such a state lol! Its all over now and you can relax. The cleaning is fine, I was dreading that but go now without even thinking about it.

NOw, you can enjoy your weekend.....will have a glass of wine for you later :sleepyjuice:
