My wife has been suffering from an abscess which required the extraction of a tooth 3 days ago. She was prescribed 2 courses of anti-biotics to be taken at the same time, prior to the extraction. After the extraction, the area swelled considerably on the outside of her jaw. She returned to the emergency dentist and they have informed her that the infection has spread into the muscle of the jaw and prescribed her another course of antibiotics for the next 7 days.

We are due to fly to turkey in 2 days time (for a 14 day holiday) and are unsure if she will be allowed to fly. She is taking diclofenic and tramadol for the pain, amoxicillin and metronidazole for the antibiotics.

Please can anyone help with some information, she is due to see our normal dentist tomorrow less than 24 hrs before we fly.

Shouldn't be a problem. Enjoy your trip :)

But don't drink alcohol with metronidazole - she will vomit !! Have a great time :)
