Hi there,

I've suffered with bad teeth (I mean, REALLY bad, all throughout my mouth but the main embarrassment is the front), for about a decade and now I'm 30. I'm tired of feeling this way as it has massively knocked my confidence (I don't really smile now) and has affected my ability to eat. I've been too afraid of visiting a dentist out of shame as I have been lectured before, and also financial issues have prevented treatment.

Anyway, I'm now in a position where I can finally do something about it and I'm wondering if I can get dentures for my upper jaw, even if all of my teeth are removed? Also, can people comfortably eat with dentures?

Thanks so much- I'm terrfied but I can't keep living like this!

Yes, you can get a denture after all your teeth have been removed.

Most people do very well with dentures, especially upper dentures, they tend to be more stable than lower ones (because there isn't a big annoying floppy tongue getting in the way!) but be aware that there is a bit of a learning curve for them, not everyone just shoves them in and forgets about them forever
:-)
