Hey guys

I have a post on here but decided to start a new one.
I had a call this morning and my surgery is on Tuesday at 8.50am
I immediately went into a really bad anxiety attack and had
to call my friend to try and calm me down.

I cannot even think about what I will be like on Monday night and
Tuesday morning. I am so scared I can't even explain but I NEED and
WILL do this!

My first appointment at a dentist in over 20 years was February and here
we are at the beginning of May and I am at the last stage.

I've had 2 upper extractions of the teeth between my front and eye teeth.
I've had the huge build up of calcium removed from the back lower front teeth.
I've had numerous moulds done.

I would never have ever even thought I could do this so I wanted to let everyone
know that no matter how afraid, embarrassed or ashamed you are YOU CAN DO IT
The biggest hurdle for me isn't the treatment it's the fear caused by my phobia and the
anxiety that this causes.

I'm adding a photo of my new teeth I think they are amazing!teeth.jpg

I think this post will make me feel less nervous for my next cleaning (I go every three months) about everyone can do it, I dont enjoy going to the dentist but prefer to get any problems sorted early on (if I have any) and fix any problems with my teeth before having extra time in the chair.

Re new teeth:

Hi Chelle, I have seen the photo of your new teeth and I agree with you they are amazing. That's just the kind of smile I hope to have one day if I can summon up the courage and raise the money. Hope all goes well for you regards Gurani

Hi, may I ask what you're having done on Tuesday?

I think we're in similar situations, I'm having 14 teeth removed soon having never had any work done on my mouth before and I'm petrified. Quite a few of the 14 teeth are broken etc.

Let us know how you get on, good luck.

Hi. Of course. I am getting all my uppers out and 3 molars on bottom left. I am really scared too. My teeth are all dead and the ones on the bottom are broken at gum line. I will post when I can afterwards to let you know how it went.

Hi Chelle,
Thanks for posting and inspiring others. I remember the anxiety of old days with every visit which I overcome as the pain eases with every treatment. I hope you this will add meaning to your smile. Good Luck!!
