I think I have my first cavity, ek. How can I get a script for antianxiety meds?
So, I was a warrior and went through with getting one of my Wisdom Teeth taken out(lol) It was a success 100% because I was prescribed 2 Xanax and didn't care what they did(lol). I haven't been back to the dentist since(even though he was amazing). I am now experiencing some tooth pain in which feels like what would be a cavity(I assume).
The way that I was prescriped the xanax last time was in my inital consiltation I told the receptionist that I had very bad dental anxiety and was shaking when I was in the exam room. The Denist asked me if I wanted to have the tooth extracted THAT DAY and I started to cry. He could clealy tell that I had a issue and prescribed me.
I would like to say that I can go in and have it filled without the xanax but even talking about it makes me begin to cry. I have really bad anxiety and I don't know how to go about reminding the DDS of that. I assume that most fillings are done the same day? Should I tell them over the phone when I'm making the appointment and have them send the prescription over to the pharamacy? I know I need to get this tooth taken care of before it turns into a Root Canal job(if it hasn't already O_O) Please help!!!!
