Sorry for the disturbance but I really need some reassurance or any good words, please...
On 2. of June I am scheduled for a removal of my lower left wisdom tooth. It is in 3 weeks and I am scared to death already. I cannot eat, I cannot work, I cannot function normally
I have the x-ray of the tooth but my OS has not seen it so I am in big "not knowing" place right now that kills me the most. My OS will evaluate my x-rays and do the extractions on the same day.
I had both upper ones removed last year and was as scared as I am right now. But both extractions went fast and easy without any pain (both upper ones were fully out so just a a bit of yanking and out they go).
Right now the lower wisdom tooth also seems to be fully out. It is the same height as the one right before it with two straight separate roots. Vertically positioned.
I guess I am feeling so scared because of everything I red on the Internet recently about the horrors of nerve damage, swelling and pain.
If the tooth is out and I can easily see it in the mirror then this extraction should not classify as surgical one? Am I right? Oh please tell me I am... I am trying to tell my self that this case will not be any different from my upper extractions.. Just a bit of yanking and crunching and it will be over. Is there a chance I may be wrong and all lowers need surgical
extractions?
If anyone has any experience with extraction of lower wisdom teeth please oh please share it with me. Hopefully someone has erupted lower wisdom teeth taken out. I want to know how difficult it can be and what should I expect...
Thank You very much,
Midwinter
