I've attached a photo of my teeth. The green circle is the RCT'd tooth, the blue circle is the tooth my dentist wants removed
I got a RCT on my 1st molar, it was previously heavily filled. It's been filled with a strong temporary filling.
My dentist said, before she puts a crown on it, she wants to get one of my premolars taken out as I have crowding (3 teeth in a triangle shape, pre-molar is at the top of the triangle, RCT'd molar bottom right, other molar bottom left) and its too close to the RCT'd tooth, and she is concerned that when they remove the premolar in the future, it will break the crown.
I got the RCT done today, 11th of November, my appointment with the orthodontist is on the 25th, and they will refer me to my dentist to get the tooth taken out most likely, which will probably be a week or so if I had to guess.
So, it's looking like around 6 weeks before I can even get a crown on my tooth I am guessing. So, I have two questions:
1. After my pre-molar is taken out, how soon after could I get a crown on the RCT'd tooth?
2. Is my tooth safe to wait that long before getting a crown?
