IV Midazolam - reaction

I’ve just found out that many years ago I had a severe paradoxical reaction to IV Midazolam. I’ve tolerated a low dose of oral Temazapam with no issues since for a number of visits at my dentist but now I know about this reaction do you think they will continue to let me have this. My dentist is not a sedation dentist. I just wonder what the protocol would be for someone with this history.

Not sure about your logic here... Why wouldn't they continue since it's a different drug which has worked fine previously

@Gordon because from everything I’m reading (admittedly google research! Waiting for my gp to come back to me) they are saying that I should avoid all of the benzodiazepines drugs as they are the same family and it’s possible I could react to them (i had a very severe reaction) I just wondered if a dentist would still give me temazapam as I’ve been fine so far with them or if it would now be contraindicated.

It would have been wise to be cautious the first time you used the Temazepam but after (presumably) multiple uses then I would really not worry about it.

Paradoxical effects from Midazolam are extremely rare, so there's not a huge amount of data to go on.

@Gordon thanks Gordon much appreciated. This is my thoughts as I have used Temazepam with no problem 10/12 times. Hopefully my GP will be of the same thought process.
