I can survive any dentist procedure accept Shots, Rubber Dams, and MOLDS. Do any of you have any Tips on how to get through the annoying 4 minutes of mold taking? I am having the upper and bottoms done tonight, and despite XANAX, the act of it, still makes me Hyperventilate. I heard one of you mention to lift your legs a few inches off the chair, any other good tips? Thanks.
My nose is horrible I have a deveated septum, and am a total mouth breather, and yes, I have a bad habit of swallowing! I found that lifting my legs up off the chair a few inches helps alot, I don't know why!! But the worst part of the molds isn't even those darn trays, but the "Caulking" Like tube they use on all of your bottom teeth, and then you have to close your mouth together. It's a horrible feeling! Then he used some red goop, and once they used a half mold, just to take the right side of my crown. That was a bit more tolerable. But thankfully I have 3 weeks to relax before my next appointment. My dentist is really nice and calm, and the nurses are wonderful, so I don't feel so bad when I temporarily freak out. She didn't fill up the molds really full either, and promised not to make me choke. It's helpful at least. Thanks guys!
