nine days after eleven teeth pulled/simple extraction

Had eleven teeth pulled nine days ago (8-17-15) Terrified they arent healing correctly! They were taken out due toextreme decay which was caused due to fear of dentist which I avoided for 20 years also former smoker. The sockets are whitish gray with two that are stll black, clot I am assuming. Looked everywhere for info to see if this is "normal" no swelling, occasionally mild pain. Can anyone help me know if this is normal and if there is any sites with pics that show what the sockets should look like. Appreciate any advice.Drivingmyself crazy looking in my mouth all day and night

signs of infection would be foul odor, foul taste, swelling, worsening pain, and pus. if you are only having mild pain and if it seems to be getting better instead of worse than you are healing fine. it takes about 3-4 weeks for the holes to be totally closed.
