Numbing injection question

Is the numbing injection used for fillings and root canals the same type of injection used for wisdom teeth extraction or is a different type of numbing agent or different dose used when removing wisdom teeth?

It's likely to be the same, there are different types but dentists generally have a favourite one and stick to it unless there's some reason to change. From the patient's point of view they're all pretty much the same though.
