Hi
I had my lower molar next to my wisdom tooth extracted 8 days ago - it's pretty much pain free despite a difficult extraction involving cracking it in half, then removing the roots with a full carpentry set etc.... so I'm not too worried. However, the hole in the gum is large and deep and since the original clot came out after about 4 days it keeps filling up to the surface with some sort of white stuff which generally comes out in a big blob when I do the saline rinse leaving a big hole once again.... sometimes it tastes a bit nasty too when it comes out. Is this normal or should I go back to the dentist? Is it something to be concerned about? How long(ish) will it take for the gum to stop producing this stuff? How long for the gum to heal up?? It's the first time I've had a tooth out..... so not a clue what to expect! Thanks for any help....
