Hi all,

I'll have to extract 4 teeth this coming Friday for my braces. I'm really really afraid of how painful the entire procedure is going to be. I've had injections before for deep cleaning session so injections are not much of a worry. What I'm most afraid of is during the extraction period. Will I still feel any pain after the injections? Can anyone let me know how painful it is so that I'll have some mental preparation for what I'll be in for this Friday? Hyperventilating at the thought of it.

The whole point of the local anaesthetic (injections) is that you feel no pain during the procedure. So the short answer is no you should feel no pain during the actual extractions.
The long answer is that if you do feel anything, have a signal arranged with your dentist so they can stop and top the LA up or simply wait longer for it to work.

Hi

I have never had any extractions, but I know that it helps to take some medicine before the treatment! Therefore when the local from the injections wear off- you will be protected by the medicine you took :)
dont wait until after the numbing has worn off before you take some tablets- make sure you give them enough time to sink in! Good luck!
Big hugs! Keep us all posted

I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine ❤️
