Scaling and planing before extraction? please help

Im terrified as it is! but to have 2 more procedures before extractions might put me over the top Is it normal to do scaling and root planing before full upper and lower extractions?

Yes it is.
It would reduce the risks of infection and dry sockets after extraction if you have this done first because you reduce the volume of plaque bacteria in your mouth
