I got two fillings done, and on one of them (or both idk) whenever I eat something remotely hard (like bread crust) It just goes insane and suddenly has a sharp pain whenever I bite down. The pain instantly subsides if I release my jaw unlike a cavity. I went back to the dentist and he was like "lol idk" told me to take some asprin...should I go to a different dentist? why is this happening?

Did he check your bite by having you bite down on colored paper? It sounds like your filling is too high. that would cause severe pain when biting down and requires him to file the filling down a bit.
