Sinus lift implant

I recently had upper last tooth removed w bone graft. In 3 months will have to decide about getting an implant. If I need a sinus lift I am very concerned about lifelong sinus side effects. Can someone please explain this procedure & safely. Also since last tooth need advise about just leaving space but worried about other teeth shifting.
