I have an appointment early tomorrow morning for my 6 monthly check-up, but I am really really anxious. A bit of background info - I have had severe dental anxiety from a young age due to traumatic experiences as a young child having to get dental fillings. I am now at the point over 10 years later that these are needing to be replaced due to cavities emerging around the seal. I was warned at my last 2 appointments that this will need doing soon but they were happy to just monitor but I have been experiencing pain now in these teeth and one I have had a root canal and crown on so I am really scared for tomorrow as I know they are going to say I at least need bigger fillings and if not more crowns or even an extraction which petrifys me.
Sorry for the super long post, I just needed somewhere to vent where people might understand my thoughts a little, I’m only 23 and have always been so ashamed of my dental health even though I know I shouldn’t be and I think this is a large amount of what causes my dental anxiety to the point of feeling sick like I am tonight.
Thanks for reading, love goes out to everyone feeling like this, it’s horrible but we can work through it together.
