I just had extraction of my teeth yesterday. I was given temporary dentures that are very uncomfortable. I can’t eat and all I do is drink fluids. Anyone else have this happen and if so, what did you do?

Ive had several dental surgeries in my process of getting implant supported dentures. I opted to bypass temporary dentures because the rubbing on the surgery site was painful and slowed down the healing. I know liquid diet is aggravating but I was able to switch to soft foods pretty quickly. Now that I'm on the completed side im glad I chose this route. My implants are solid and I can eat foods that I haven't been able to in many years. Hang in there!

Go back to the dentist. Immediate dentures have a fair bit of educated guesswork as to what the gums will look like as they heal. They always need to be adjusted after the first 24-48 hours no matter what.
I hope you've been given an appointment for follow up by your dentist, but if you've not got one, get on the phone first thing on Monday.
In the meantime, try to persevere as best as you can, try to limit yourself to soft foods and avoid chewing anything too difficult for a bit.

@gmjm1958 I have the same problem, I had my extractions on Friday too. My immediate dentures don’t fit either. Just fluids for me too 😭
