Time to wait after post and core

I had a root canal in 2 stages. 8 days after the final stage I had a post and core (painless). A few days after it was uncomfortable and endodontist shaved down the core saying it was high. I have an appointment for the crown prep and temp in a few days but I'm still uncomfortable. Should I wait until I'm pain free for the crown prep?

Yes! Make sure you are fully comfortable before doing any additional work, as putting a crown on a tooth that is not ready for it could cause more pain.
