Hi. This is my first time posting, so I apologize if it's in the wrong section.
I had my farthest upper molar removed on Friday at 3pm, and it was a rather scary process. My tooth was stuck so they had to cut it out, along with a huge chunk of gums (not trying to scare anyone, this was because I have long roots). Anyways, it's not day 4, almost day 5, and the pain is gone as well as most of the swelling.
My question is, what should the extraction site look like now? I have stitches, and I can't see the blood clot (haven't been able to ever, the stitches are in the way). There's a lot of grey tissue in that area, along with some bruises from the needle. Last night it started feeling a bit slimy on that side of my mouth. No odd smells or anything, and no pain. I'm on antibiotics as well.
I called my dentist yesterday, and they said as long as there is no smell or bad pain, Im fine.
