Hi. I went to a new dentist today (first time in 5 years) or so!

I need

Resin Composite - 2 Surfaces - 145$
Resin Composite - 3 Surfaces - 175$
Resin Composite - 2 Surfaces - 145$
Resin Composite - 2 Surfaces - 145$
Resin Composite - 2 Surfaces - 145$
Resin Composite - 1 Surface - 125$
Crown Porcelain/High Noble -853$
Root Canal Therapy Molar - 792$
Prefabricated Post and Core - 150$
Resin Composite - 2 Surfaces - 145$
Resin Composite - 2 Surfaces 145$
Resin Composite - 1 Surface - 125$
Resin Composite - 1 Surface - 125

Total : 3215$

I Did not think my teeth were this bad off, as I knew I needed a root canal on one and I had 2 small other cavaties or so. But are these prices about average for these procedures?

and should I get IV Sedation for all of this?

Congrats on making it to the dentist- looks pretty cost effective to me. I paid the endo $1250 for a root canal, not including the sedation cost. Paid $340 for a post and core, and $1283 for a full porcelain crown (lab made not cerec). The rest are just fillings and look reasonable enough.

You don't say which teeth? so they can work on all the upper or all the lower in one visit but can't numb your whole mouth at once, Is the tooth that needs a root canal painful? Start there or if not with a couple of those easy fillings and maybe some nitrous and see how you do? Personally I wouldn't do IV sedation excpet maybe the root canal - It's not at all painful, just long and fiddly

If you suspect you do not need so many fillings. Get a second opinion. Did they show you the areas of decay on the x-rays?

You might also be better off having a specialist endodontist do your root canal (But it would cost more) as molars are the most technically difficult.

Miami endodontist molar fee 1800.

Hey!,

He referred me to an endodontist. I am going to go to the dentist sometimes in December (Around the 20th)

If I get IV Sedation, Will i feel Anything because I don't want to feel anything at all! im a bit of a scardey cat' but Ehhh. I dont like guys drillin in my mouth!
