Hi
I'm 22 and have used chlorohexidine for years on and off. However, I recently got told it isn't good for my teeth, in the long run. Is this a contribution to the staining in between my teeth and does it make them weaker?
( I am also a compulsive tea drinker so I'm sure that doesn't help. )
Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you !!

I’m not a dentist. Prolonged use of chlorhexidine can cause staining and discolouration of the teeth. It should be used only on your dentist’s recommendation.

It doesn't weaken the teeth in any way. Apart from the staining, it messes with the normal oral bacterial balance in your mouth so for that reason it shouldn't be used routinely.

Thank you for the clarification!
