I just got back from the dentist and the experience was pretty uneventful(compared to what I had in my head). Sure my bottom front teeth had a fair bit of tartar build up from over the years and the scraping off wasn't "great" but there was no pain. I had it in my mind that my teeth needed a lot of work having not been to the dentist in 10+ years. I have a few small cavities that need filling but other than that my teeth were in really good shape. I thought after they scraped the tartar off of my teeth they would fall out or be loose. This couldn't be further from the truth. I have to say if you're on the fence about calling and making an appointment, DO IT. It's the hardest part. This forum is a great source of support. If I can do it so can you!
