Four Back Molars Will Be Permanently Gone

I recently found out that I won't have my last molars on the top or bottom, (4) teeth in all. My dentist isn't placing implants there. Will that be a big adjustment for me without having them to chew? It seems pretty big to me. How well do other people chew without their last, back molars?
