Due to dental anxiety, I haven't been to a dentist in about 25 years. To help compensate for that I both floss and brush twice daily. I know I need to go to the dentist though.

I recently chipped my upper tooth. I also have a smaller lower chip, and some staining. I'm curious what to tell the dentist when I schedule an appointment, that I would like a cleaning and a price on fixing the top chip? I may fix the lower one later, or maybe it is cheaper to do both chips at once?

I have found a dentist that gets incredible reviews, so that part is ok. Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Most dentists will do a full exam of your mouth first, then present you with a treatment plan for everything that they think needs doing.

You can then decide how you want to proceed from there. You should be able to take the treatment plan away and think it over if you want, if you're that nervous then you won't really be thinking clearly at the first appointment.

That makes sense, thank you for the reply.

Let me know how you get on or if you have questions about the proposed treatment plan.
