Hi finally after a long wait, I am having my teeth sorted by a local dentist, I have had a temp bridge fitted but I am going away to Tenerife, after having just one day It has come lose. Not a problem in that I am going to have it re-stuck tomorrow. However I am worried it is going to come off again while I am away..

PLEASE PLEASE can you tell me the best temporary cement I can take away with me. I have seen Dentek thin temporary cement on line.. Is that the one dentists would recommend??? I thought I would take a few packs away with me. Otherwise I am going to worry about it all the time and spoil my holiday.:(

Back in the bad old days when I used to do my own DIY dentistry, the dentek one was the one I used to stick crowns back on with. As long as its the one where you have to mix two sachets together.
In my experience that one was the best. Try and make sure the tooth and the crown are really dry - that's how i got the best result.
Enjoy your holiday :)

Thank You :) xxx

I always carry some of that dentek stuff in my handbag at all times (but then I have an issue of being afraid of my temporary front crown falling off again). You used to be able to just buy it in your local pharmacy, I got mine in Boots.

Denture fixative is better than nothing if you're desperate.
