Well done for getting through it @kaciee ! Sorry to hear that the decay was deeper than anticipated. As far as I understand, it's not always possible to know beforehand, because x-rays only show a 2-dimensional image of a 3-dimensional structure . Hopefully the pulp cap will have done the trick though - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

@letsconnect That makes sense about the X-Ray thing.My tooth has not been hurting at all so I am really hoping that such is a good sign .From your response,I take it that the pulp cap will hopefully help me from having to receive a root canal-I personally do not know much about dental procedures (and like I said before I rather not).

Yes, that's the hope, and it sounds as if there's a good chance that the tooth will settle down (I bet both yourself and your father would be very pleased!)
