Ok..... so i have posted here before and yes.... still a complete chicken. i know what i need... there is no dentist that will argue the fact... i need top and bottom dentures. I want them.. i want to be able to smile. Years of neglect and less than pleasurable horrifying experiences at the dentist as a child led me here. My mouth is full of decay. Yes... I know its not healthy. Yes... i know i need to get this taken care of. and you what the funny thing is. i know they can probably sedate me... i just have medical through my state because im a single mom and work my butt off seven days a week... but struggle financially like most of you. my BIGGEST fear in all of this, because yes.. I listen to Dr. Google and it became an obsession. is them finding oral cancer cuz doesnt poor oral hygiene lead to this? If it wasnt for that fear... id call right now and get this done.

I am not a medical expert and have no direct education or experience with oral cancer or known anyone who has it. But when I googled search the common causes the majority of the more reputable sites pretty much list the same things as causes or factors; exposure to carcinogenic items (tobacco, radiation, heaving smoking with heavy drinking, etc), family history, and couple of medical conditions. None mention already present decay or cavities being a cause.

I think you should make the call at least for a consultation. At the consult, ask all your questions you have no matter what they are. Or if you have medical doctor you see, I am sure they can put your mind at ease. If you have medical insurance, they might have a hotline you can call that is staffed by a nurse practitioner who can chat with you about it. It may help to ease your concerns. I ask my dentist silly questions all the time.

Correct. You van compare it to bathing and skin cancer. No causative connection.
