Overbite

Hi.
I'm 64 and have buck teeth ( overbite) I really don't want to start wearing braces at my age but been told they may get worse or I will start loosing bone around my teeth.
My gums are now healthy teeth are not pretty but I can live with that as iv had them all my life.
Any advise would be gratefully received.

Hi, did your current dentist tell you that they may get worse and that it will affect the bone around your teeth, or was this some dentist in the past?

Old dentist. Iv got receading gums due to the overbite no gum infection etc I'm agraphobic so now see a mobile dentist who tells me my teeth and gums are fine

If it was just one dentist in the past who thought that they "may" get worse but the dentists since didn't think so, then it's probably safe to assume that they're not getting worse?

It's a well-known fact that if you ask 10 different dentists, you'll get 10 different opinions
