Partial top denture

I am about to have 2 upper front teeth removed that are holding an old bridge and an immediate temporary partial 3 tooth denture fitted. And I am dreading it!!
I am worried sick!!

Hi @maeve, I moved this into the Support section because it didn't seem to contain any questions for a dentist. You said in a previous thread that you're "worried that the denture will not resemble my natural teeth at all". While it's true that temporaries will not look as good as permanent replacements, they should not look out of place or really obviously fake. Have you shared your concerns with your dentist, and if so, what did they say?

Thank you for your reply. My dentist said 'they will move and you will not like them'. There is infection under the 15+ year bridge (top two front and the tooth either side. But dentist wants to leave one of the side teeth to the bridge in place and put in an nhs partial denture which she said will be in for 3 months then I can have a new one made to fit better. I am dreading the extractions as never had that done awake and am constantly worrying to the point of not sleeping much. And what the pain will be like after extraction.
