I went to a new dentist today to see about getting my teeth fixed and he said that I have soft tooth enamel. Is there any way I can strengthen my enamel, because this is causing a lot of problems with my teeth?

My son has abnormal tooth enamel (I don't know if it's soft??). He does get a lot of cavities. His dentist advised him to stay away from soda and sweets. He also brushes his teeth with a prescription toothpaste that has more flouride in it than regular toothpaste.

He told me it was caused from having a high fever as child when my permanent teeth were being formed. I did have a high fever around that time. Is there a way to strengthen your teeth if you have soft tooth enamel?

Stay away from sodas and sweet things, use a high fluoride toothpaste if you can. There's not much else you can do I'm afraid.
