Weird "ulcers"on my socket were wisdome tooth was pulled. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I got my bottom left wisdom tooth pulled about 4-6 months ago and i still have sever pain that travels up and down literately just the left side of my face. My dentist tells me every thing looks good no sign of infection, just 3 "ulcers" on the socket were the tooth was. i have gone to the hospital many times due to pain. i just don't know what else to do. the dentist actually dropped me says "he feels that my needs would better be filled at another dentist office". so i guess my question is- is it possible that the nerves got pulled up out of the gum when he pulled the tooth? if not what can i do about the "ulcer" problem? ive tried everything ive spent a lot of money on off the shelf anesthetic i think that's the word. and nothing works nothing numbs the pain. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Hello...I have the exact same thing happening to me..I had several teeth pulled (4 wisdom) and some others..Since then I have had pain in the left side of my face which travels into my lower left side teeth..It is a constant throbbing..I had been seeing a dentist and when I called him one day about a hurting tooth he told me not to bother to come in and that I needed a pain specialist...He dropped me as a patient also...I was so upset and in pain..I ended up getting 3 more sets of xrays done and nothing showed up in them..They all said the teeth were fine except they were hurting me! So I went to my family doctor and she referred me to an oral surgeon and gave me lyrica to try...It is for nerve pain...I'm not sure if it nerve pain till I see the neurologist ..I also sent a request for an appointment to the Mayo clinic in Rochester, Mn. to their pain center...My pain meds only numb the pain,It is hard to enjoy life when all you have is mouth pain......Don't give up..I'm not.

No, it's not possible.

Have a look at the burning tongue thread down a bit, some of that applies to recurrent ulceration too.
