Hello everyone.
I have been stalking this forum for several months now lol.. reading stories about people who are in their 20s and 30s and went to the dentist for the first time.
I am 27 and I went for the first time last week. I did not go growing up, I don't know why I was never taken. By the time I got old enough I was too scared to go.

I started feeling strange pressure in my teeth about a year ago. I begin freaking out and assuming the absolute worst.

I found a dentist in my area who had several reviews about being kind and understanding, so I decided to make an appointment. I have been panicking and I thought I was going to need all of my teeth pulled, gum grafts, etc. I did not take care of my teeth growing up. I never flossed and did not start brushing properly until I was 14 or so... I know

I go into the appointment and I find out my gums are healthy and I only have two cavities. One needs a root canal or pulled, one needs a filling. The feeling in my teeth is being caused by my wisdom teeth. They are fully impacted. She was so kind to me and understanding.

I wanted to thank everyone who has shared their story here. You all are a big reason why I finally went. Thank you thank you thank you. I hope my story can inspire someone to go.
