Douglas Miller BDS (Lond), LDS RCS (Eng), MFGDP (UK), Dip.D.Sed (Lond) GDC No.57970 qualified from Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1984. He set up Douglas Miller Dental Practice in North Finchley, North London, where he worked from 1990 until his retirement in 2024.
Douglas has a special interest in helping anxious and phobic dental patients. He holds a University of London qualification in Dental Sedation and the management of dentally phobic patients. He studied hypnosis and acupuncture in relation to dentistry, and was a member of The Society for Advancement and Anaesthesia in Dentistry, and The Dental Sedation Teachers Group. He has taught the national course for dental sedation, both to Dentists and Dental Nurses.
Douglas has written magazine articles and papers on dental phobia management and general dentistry, and has appeared on TV answering questions on dental care.
He is married with three children and lives in London.
