@ScaredyCat22 my next appointment is on Thursday. I'm dreading it but I need to sort out my teeth and I can't let it go on. I'm glad you had a nice day with your son and you were able to eat some pizza. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and am sure you will be absolutely fine. Please let me know how you get on.

@Lindylou1601 I will let you know and I hope your appointment goes well on Thursday. I am super irritated today besides stress. I went to the eye doctor for the first time in a couple of years. My insurance pays for eyeglasses every 2 years. The woman in the optical shop said I am a month early so I have to pay for the frames myself and my insurance will only cover the lenses. I said fine, I will pay for the frames. She charged my credit card the full amount, including what my insurance covers. Then she said she would void it, but she didn't she screwed up and double charged me. It is a good thing I am allowed to take a valium tonight and another before my appointment tomorrow.
I am sitting here a nervous wreck and filling out my forms for the dentist now. I don't want to have to do it in the office when I'm sedated.

@ScaredyCat22 just seen your message. I am so sorry about the eye glasses and I hope you get the money sorted out very soon. Its very frustrating when these things happen especially when you have other things to worry about. I hope you're not too stressed at the moment. You will be fine. I'm 100% sure. I've cancelled my appointment on Thursday. I couldn't face it so soon after the extraction and I'm still staying with my cousin so decided to put it off for a month. I'm sorry you've had the problems with your glasses. It seems sometimes everything happens at once. Good luck today and I'm thinking of you and sending you my very best wishes. Please let me know how you get on.

@Lindylou1601 I can understand not wanting to face the dentist again so soon. I go into what I call recovery mode after every appointment where I really do not want to be bothered with anyone or anything and it takes me a couple of weeks to feel normal and able to cope.
Last night I took my sedative and was able to sleep for 6 whole hours without any nightmares so that's something at least. I will deal with the optical shop when they call me to pick up my glasses. If they don't credit me I will put it in dispute with my credit card.
I am a nervous wreck today. It's 3 hours until I leave for my appointment. I wish I had an appetite because I keep thinking I should eat a little something in case anything horrible happens to me and leaves me unable to eat after my appointment. That is what happened to me before.
I will update you tonight.

@ScaredyCat22 I couldn't eat before my extraction either. I had no appetite but I did manage a yogurt. I'm thinking about you and in 3 hours time it'll be 3.30pm here so I'll definitely be thinking about you then. You'll be fine and it'll all be over before you know it. I'll be with you in spirit all the way. Contact me when you feel up to it.

@ScaredyCat22 just to let you know it's 3.10pm here and I'm thinking of you. You'll be fine.

@Lindylou1601 I'm home. I'm still a little numb but I think I am ok! They did say I should have come sooner because it's considered an emergency when a filling falls out because decay will happen very fast. But then he said the space where my filling used to be did not even have a soft spot and it could just be refilled. I told him I was scared of being worked on while I wasn't numb and he promised I would not feel anything. I told him I was scared of the shots making my heart pound and he said he could use something without epinephrine. I told him I had a really bad experience with composite filling and he said he could do amalgam.
So it is refilled and I was very scared but I didn't feel a thing, it didn't hurt at all. I am so glad it's over. They were all so nice to me, not like the horrible places I went to before. I just hope when the numbness wears off I don't find out that the filling is too high. I can't really tell for sure yet. Thank you so much for your support. I was thinking of you too and pretending you were with me!

@ScaredyCat22 I'm so glad it all went well and you're back home now and it's all over. I knew it would go well for you. I'm so pleased for you. Please stay in touch from time to time and let me know how you are. Thank you too for all your support over the past weeks too. 🥰

@Lindylou1601 Thank you. I will stay in touch and I will be wishing you well at your next appointment too.

When my numbing wore off, I was shocked that I didn't even have any soreness where he gave me the shots. That's a first for me. I am going to let them give me an exam, cleaning, and X-rays next month. I will probably need a valium for that too, but at least I will get it done.
I hope you are doing well and healing up nicely.

@ScaredyCat22 you'll be fine. The worst is over with now. I'm going on the 18th June for a checkup and hopefully start treatment for my dentures. I knew everything would go well for you. You can relax now. I'm so glad everything went so well for you.

@Lindylou1601 I hope you get good news on the 18th and are good to get dentures. My appointment is right after you on the 23rd.

@ScaredyCat22 good luck too with your next appointment on the 23rd. Thank you for your message. I appreciate your kindness.

@Lindylou1601 How is your healing going? Are you able to eat more than just the softest foods yet?

@ScaredyCat22 hi there. It's been nearly 4 weeks now so it's healing nicely. I need a denture now though because of the gaps at the back causing chewing problems. I'm very upset today because I had some very bad news. My uncle who I'm very close to has cancer and it's spread to his bones. I'm devastated at the moment and trying to process the information. It's only just been six months since I lost my partner of 15 years from cancer too so my mental health is very bad at the moment. I hope you're OK.

@Lindylou1601 I am ok at the moment, thank you. I sent you a private message because I have been unable to reply here for some reason but it's all of a sudden working now!
